Questions to Consider

Today, Dusty shared with us a method of sharing one's Christian faith by asking questions. You can ask things like "If you were to die today, where would you go?" and "If God asked you why He should let you into his Heaven, what would you say?" Questions are a good way to get answers because people are usually happy to talk about themselves. Asking questions is the main way the Columbo Method works, as Gregory Koukl explains in his book Tactics. We can continue with the questions until the person answering makes a mistake or runs against a wall of hard evidence. Then we can say something like "I thought that there were secular sources that mention Jesus in the first three hundred years after He lived. Such as Roman historian Tacitus, Jewish historian Josephus, and more."

May we be energized to go ask some questions, sharing our faith.
